I like how the artist makes September's ears a part of her character. They're always indicating her emotions/state-of-mind, and simply how they are being used as her real ears... because they are.

It's weirdly rare to see, but I guess that's because a lot of comic artists like their characters static.

I suspect it's a logistics thing: they want to tell a longer or more plot focused story and forget or don't have time for those little details.

I didn't notice the ears btw.
