Well, I'm really disappointed that when the random person showed up, he didn't find Rude eating his ridiculous riceball in front of the snake frozen with his jaw open. It would have been a pretty hilarious nope moment and we all could have pretended he ran away because of the riceball.

Since there's no snake corpse around (and I don't recall item boxes being a thing here), I'm guessing it was given the order to scamper off and it happily obliged after its experience trying to eat Rude.

Way too many cat puns

Croquette ends her sentences with "Nya". She does this intentionally, and there is some deep reason for it that hasn't been revealed in the manga yet.

The translator has chosen the brainrot approach to cat speech. Purrsonally, I don't support this as it deviates from the original intent. Croquette doesn't actually butcher the language, she just meows at the end of sentences to honor of her heritage.
