The aging certainly isn't helped by the fact that the initial omake are effectively an evolution of his previous pre-serialization comics starring Scholar-chan, which he started doing after he started playing (incidentally so after A Realm Reborn released).

Fun fact: the axe-wielding, braided-twintails-wearing Lalafell is Okawa Bkub's Lalafell!
