I don't even know these characters or the events they're referencing, but the d' awww is palpable.

I'm sure it is, but I quite FEH like three days in. I just read the comic because I'm a fan of Fire Emblem in general.

The kingdom of Fjorm, Nifl was invaded by the kingdom of Laegjarn, Muspell. The Order stepped in and after much warring they captured Laegjarn which had a heart-to-heart with Fjorm and both discovered that they were not that different. Being both honorable and nice princesses of their kigdoms didn't hurt either. However, Laegjarn broke free later and when she returned to Muspell, the monster of a father she had condemned her to use a deadly technique that would kill her and to fight the Order again, with the condition that Laegjarn's sister, Laevatein, would be the one doing it if she refused. She accepted and lost, dying in the process. Her last words were that she would have liked her and Fjorm to be friends if things were different and asking the Order to save her sister.

To be honest, Laegjarn is one of my favourite characters and my favourite of Muspell overall.
