Illness and injury rarely seem to be handled consistently in manga. I guess this just goes into the same bucket as all those scenes where someone is turned on by their partner having a fever, even though in real life it would be a terrible idea to start kissing them right then.
If we're supposed to be worried about Komari, then please don't make me concerned that Yukio is in the process of giving her permanent brain damage.
