All signs pointed to this, but it's now perfectly clear that what this manga is really about Makoto's super-cool overpowered sister who can do anything and is super-confident while Makoto is just a ditz who is a so-so witch and lives in her sister's shadow. This could have been a nice manga, but they had to play the - blonde girls are all that, dark-haired girls are nothing special - hair-politics game of fiction again.

Dude, one of them is s twenty-something freeter with lots of time to learn spells under her belt, the other is only fifteen with high school taking at least seven hours a day five to six days a week, they have very different amounts of time to devote to learning spellcraft.
