btw, on page 30 when he says 'mansion', it's not a large house for rich people - it's an apartment in a small apartment building, usually 2-4 stories tall, where there are apartments in a single row, all facing a balcony/street. So he is decidedly NOT rich, he is just renting a small apartment.
