Actually, I know someone who was more or less in the exact, yet reverse, boat.
Female, horribly abused by a father figure (and later a younger brother), grew up to be something of an utterly shitty, hyperbolically aggressive person who hated everyone. Blamed it on themselves cause they were born a girl for a long time before eventually moving in with some extended family.
They're doing a lot better now, though!

Can't tell if he really enjoys helping out people in need or does that disinterestedly, either way yandare gonna try dispose of Haruhiko.
He doesn't have gender identity disorder, just a special kind where he can't help to switch back and forth due to whatever caused that "curse".
