i think black's always gonna be in style/considered 'slimming' and only be bad if you have like pets that shed a lot lol, versus it suddenly being like "black jeans/bottoms suddenly means you're pro shoplifting" or whatever, but i don't think it's unique/too generic to suddenly get some kinda meme like that "blue hair and pronouns" thing lol

I think it's fine too, if anything it just looks "boring/too normal" as opposed to someone 'dressed up' but other than the teenager puberty/stereotype(?) of Japanese teen girls suddenly being cold/distant towards their fathers/subconsciously rejecting them, I'd still say it's a step above them going out in like sweatpants and a wife beater lol (although other than in summer i imagine most adult men wouldn't go out in that kinda top in a family outing, if only b/c they'd be eating at a restaurant)

Although, other than her even doubling down like "Gross dad/why are you making me waste my time doing this i'd rather hang out with friends", feels like it would've been a good 'bonding' opportunity to ask the daughter what kinda clothes she likes/would look good (tho that might be a diff family/relationship bonding slice of life series with older dads being the focus lol but who knows, maybe the author will spinoff and make a diff manga featuring charas they used before)

I'd think it's fine for him to be 'sporty' esp if he used to be part of a a club, showing off his muscles and such (although i guess that's not rly what you wanna present on an outing with your daughter [tho it would be funny if, after all this time of the younger girls complaining, that it was a trend for tweens/teens her age to dress like casual middle aged men versus her wearing some sundress/casual a-line dress XD (tho i wonder, since some ppl are used to it, i wonder if there are ppl wearing generic 'uniforms' after graduation or so)])

I think it's his bulky silhouette and the 50/50 proportion instead of a 2/3rd 1/3rd. If he wore his pants higher like a high waist or his shirt a little longer, he'd look great. The fully buttoned up V collar doesn't help much too, if it was a shirt that has a collar button, or he undid either 1 or 2 buttons he'd look better.

Black pants are also really good, I only take issue with them cause it limits playing with color althrough out a fit. The panda + 1 color is a very Japanese aesthetic tho, but I prefer emulating old school rap aesthetic or American street for colors but finding pieces outside of those expensive street wear brands or thrifts outside the US is hard

not bad, but has a strong "dad vibe" coming out of it. if he wears it to play golf or attend bbq party with fellow dads, it's okay. but for hanging out with his teen daughter? she'd most likely hate it
