I do understand, that mangaka(?) wants to add some changes to have something unique, but this time it led to a plot incoherence. In the novel Jiang MuYe throws rocks at the window to wake up Ning Xi, so when she talked with Lu TingXiao she said the truth.
Also "Do you dare to say you didn't smash it" from Ning Xi sounds like a thread.
