Yes, the situation in Myanmar has gotten worse since it's publication. There is also this famous video of the 2021 Coup, of a Fitness trainer that accidentally live streamed the coup happening in the background while she was exercising.

one of the reason there's barely any fictional works on the recent IRL past political events. This story jumped right on 2015 is a big gamble.
Haven't read further than this but if the manga covers something like Ukrain war, it's gonna be lit
