I got confused when I opened this chap and thought I had skipped a chapter from how sudden this reveal was.
Guess the author had to hurry up and wrap up the story before the axe.
Yeah, I think with manga like this that rush ahead after the axe, you at least get a picture of what they had in mind with the right amount of pacing and build up. But, this isn't that bad of a read either. It's just - truncated.
I always wonder, when witnessing "
the Ax" how the publishing actually goes with mangas.
Some clearly are meant to continue on as long as they can and then they wrap up somewhat, when the time comes, but how does it start in the first place? Do they get a certain amount of chapters, before they essentially renew the series for longer or is it quarterly or what?
Shame so little information escapes Japan and I doubt that even there the publishing industry is exactly open in how they handle things behind the scenes.
Nonetheless, it's quite clear that this one got the ax instead of "you have X volumes from the start to tell your story" kind of deal.
