I was wondering why he didn't just go and attack himself since he is aware Saldia is not currently capable of winning and he was resolute to actually show his power, but the strategy of baiting Balra is not a bad one in itself, considering they could decide not to attack if they made it known they knew of the strategy, and that would drag out into a cold war(rogue could still just attack and probably win if we re being perfectly honest, but then either balra or other countries would be able to claim that Saldia did an unprovoked attack or that rogue is being evil.
Too bad that they got that clairvoyance spell so they know.Though quite hypocritical of Void to not deny rogue's will, even though he has to know he is stronger than himself
I wonder how much of rogue strength comes from him just needing to be this strong and how much it's just he is a freak of nature. On one hand he seemed to have ines ever since he was young, and for a long time only had like 10 reanimated followers. Him being stronger than the first demon king and an ancient dragon is also way beyond what he would need to simply escape fight countries going after him(especially since it's likely none of the 7 sages were involded. At the same time though he had to escape his orphanage being destroyed, and he does say that he actively seeked that strength.
