The "copyrights suck" TL note... do they think the law is like that anywhere but Japan? You can say brand names in dialogue, you just can't USE the brand image without permission. The tendency to make up fake names for everything in manga is a weird Japanese thing and translators ARE NOT bound by this. Just write in Kiki's Delivery Service, there is literally nothing anyone can do about it outside of Japan.

I, for one, would be totally up for watching Kiki's delivery service rather than football . . . but renting it is better anyway, no commercials.
