I got a 12" Cast iron pan a couple of Christmas' ago

Biggest pain in my ass

Thing is heavy as hell
Is only suited for big meals else it's a waste
Stinks up the whole kitchen when seasoning
Can't cook acidic veggies
AND takes about 30 minutes to clean
(which you have to do carefully or you'll have to heavy season AGAIN)

Damnd thing'll stay on my wall as an anti burglar method

I have one and I don't bother seasoning it actually. I just heat it up, apply a thin coating of oil using a tissue paper. After I'm done frying, I just wipe it with a paper towel and then store it. Sometimes when it gets rusty (because I don't season it properly) I do the same thing again, and viola it's non stick again.
Of course I don't cook sticky/sugary or acidic stuff in it.
It holds it temp really well, perfect for browning meats and crisping up foods.

Oh yeah the rust
Add that to the list of pains I had to deal with
Just meant  another coat of seasoning after going at it with steel wool

Don't get me wrong, it still works wonders for absolutely zero stick and "better" flavor, just don't think it's worth going back to compared to butter/oil in a regular pan, especially for camping.

Oh I'll never lug around something as heavy as that if I'm gonna go camping. It takes a while to heat too so all my fuel is gonna run out before I even get to cooking with it lol.
