I did appreciate how she shut that guy down though. I always found the "jealous male classmates" trope annoying when they get forced through without resistance.

Even though 'The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten' is mostly fluff, I do like some things about it quite a bit, including how Mahiru expertly shut down the jealous guys.

Yet another manga where men who are not the main guy are insufferable pricks. Why can’t manga artists write men properly, do they not have friends who are male? Maybe it is a manga thing, but men don’t think or act that way towards other guys.

It's one of the reasons why a lot of people like The Fragrant Flower Blooms With Dignity. There's actually good male friends.
