This has been a really good read, I highly recommend it for readers of all* ages and backgrounds
*maybe not those who still giggle at the word sex
I'm coming in at this from the angle of a cancer survivor, and I find it to be a refreshingly optimistic (sarcastic but not cynical) look at the author's experience, with a take on her triumphs, ills, and everything in between. It avoids the sappiness or artificially inflated emotions (which admittedly have their place) of other smaller works, and consequently feels cathartic and (most importantly) real.
I'm not familiar with the author's prior work, but I may have to check it out as she seems to live quite an exciting life!
