Also, what happened to the vampires? And no explanation for telekinesis (I have a theory, near death experience or just a total disregard of life heightening the mind). I love that there's more unresolved plot points than actual active plot points. Oku just vomited his ideology onto some pages, what an auteur.

It's implied that the Vampires were former targets of GANTZ. The Vampire leader realized most of the GANTZ hunters were being forced to kill aliens during the Osaka mission and weren't doing so out of their own volition. They dropped their vendetta against the Tokyo team because of this.
