The creature and mecha design in this manga is a real feast for the eyes. The Monotsuki are creepy and grotesque but there's also a sad beauty to them that is hard to explain. The one in this example seems to be a heap of hair and rotting skin haphazardly fused together and carried by gnarly limbs, but the eye on that collapsing skull looks alive, staring into my soul.
