No no no, I won't go as far as saying the nobles are good, but won't it make more sense to blame the slaver first? She's literally chained up and sold by that supposed "her father's friend" dude, while the bad nobles only just now wanted to buy her.
Just seem like an unnecessarily complicated way to treat a supposed murder culprit badly.
