Lone wolfs are seen as strong and admirable, but they may be the odd ones and they probably suffer from their inadaptability in the pack so they leave. They fight another male for no reason and get bullied for being violent, that might be one lone wolf story.
Getting along is another survival skill for them. Lone wolfs don't fare well in the wilds. It's bad for hunting, bad for security when drinking or sleeping...
