Also, the assistant had her memory of the professor wiped which also wiped the world's memory of the professor so this is bad not just because our assistant is getting caught in the net again, but because now the professor gets a clean slate

Anyone else notice the octopus with the creepy eyes on page 2? It also showed up at the beginning of chapter 14 (where the professor carries and places it somewhere), and it seems to be featured in one of the end illustrations in chapter 10.

It seems pretty significant, and I'm assuming it's connected to the "ancient octopus".
