I guess it's understandable since they're just side-characters, so taking too much time on them would feel like a waste, but off-screen relationship development is always pretty jarring lol

Kinda glad they’re actually ensuring the slaves become free alongside abolishing it, there are way too many fantasy isekai with the idea that if a slave is given a ‘good’ master then its perfectly fine
