It's been a while since the last time we saw him, but he shows up every so often - his first appearance in person was in chapter 15. Mostly, he's just busy running the company that Oriko gets her money from, and he's also been helping look for Oriko's mom offscreen.I do wonder what happened to Oriko's Dad
He appeared in chapter 101 and it seems to be implied that they occasionally meet for discussions and training. It's been a while since the last time we saw him, but he shows up every so often - his first appearance in person was in chapter 15. While I agree with you, I've been giving this a reread in celebration of the news, and one thing that I've noticed is that it takes a while for all of the characters we're familiar with today to get both introduced and developed. For the first 30 chapters or so there really is little else going on other than cheesecake and forcing Oriko into embarrassing situations, so even if the creators of the TV series "get it", they aren't really going to have much to work with in the content of Oriko's first season, especially if it ends with Stella's introduction like some people are predicting it will. Even a more optimistic season 1 that makes it all the way to chapter 56 (mom-bot's takeover) will only really get to "the good Giant Ojou-Sama" in the last episode or two, assuming a 12 episode run with each episode covering 4-5 chapters. All the more reason to hope Oriko gets a season 2 or 3, I guess.I know this series has a reputation for fanservice, but I feel like one of its greatest understated strengths is how heartwarming it is. It really is focused on family bonds, and I think that's why the Anime could do very well if the creators of the Anime really understand that.
At the very least, I don't think you have to worry about Stella's people "squishing Gim like a bug". From what we see of Stella's flashback in chapter 127, the tailed people seem to be normal human sized, taking into account that Stella herself wasn't any bigger than a human baby when Gim first found her. The only other giant we know of in that place is Oriko's mom (which is a big part of my "Oriko and Stella are actually half-sisters" theory).I hope this doesn’t raise death flags for gim. Like what if Stella meets her people and they’re all assholes. I mean they did leave her.
Like what if gimlet tries to step up for Stella and her people squash him like a bug?
Stella and oriko being sisters would be a pretty cool reveal. I wonder if oriko will unlock the ability to go giant without the drink if her mom's size really is planet tier.At the very least, I don't think you have to worry about Stella's people "squishing Gim like a bug".
