Probably bring a bigger army to deal with the Duke and the werewolves if that happened. Seem like Hugh ranking knights. They couldn't all just disappeared
One thing I really enjoy in this series is how only the truly irredeemable are dealt with. Geran? Piece of shit, but he did employ her. Not much, and his poor treatment of her nearly killed her, but she would've been worse off without him.
The duke? Again, piece of shit. But he doesn't really chose to be, it's kinda the society he's a part of. I do enjoy how the soldiers aren't being treated as villains here since they were really just there to stop a rebellion. The second they hear about an actual threat to their territory and people? They go for it.
