it's good, I like rice. Tasty and not hard to cook

but come on man wheat absolutely kicks it's ass in a competition. More flavor, better for baking, can be used for noodles, flour has use as a base in a dozen different recipes

yeah make white rice and eat it plain. It's not amazing but it's definitely edible

It's worth mentioning that there's a definite difference between good rice and the rice most westerners get in supermarkets. Rice didn't become a staple grain for a significant portion of the world by being completely tasteless after all

Plus, depends a lot on what you do with it. It's not like a bowl of plain, unseasoned cream of wheat is particularly exciting, but much like how adding some brown sugar and cinnamon to cream of wheat makes it pretty tasty, a bit of salt and pepper on rice can be pretty damn good
