<sigh> Just from the cover I can tell that I'm gonna be torn between loving this for giving Dar some deeper characterization and hating it for pairing her up with Kay. I just do not get this pairing, at all.

<sigh> Just from the cover I can tell that I'm gonna be torn between loving this for giving Dar some deeper characterization and hating it for pairing her up with Kay. I just do not get this pairing, at all.

I think it's because both of them are the captains of the British and American team respectively and historically these two nations were allies in WW2. Also, the character dynamic between the two with Darjeeling being the cool, calm headed one and Kay being the energetic, hot headed one.
