All three chapters so far end sadly with main characters suffering. And all (supposed) bad guys get away and have no karma? Will this be the main theme to the rest of the remain chapters?

Huh I guess it's sort of a toss up whether side characters are fairly reasonable vs. ghoulishly mean for like, no reason.
