Its a smart play on his end, no one will be able to use it for a while due to all the people aiming for it. Information most likely spread so old monsters of cultivators will be aiming for it. If he threw a fake they'd find out eventually and know who has t. If he never revealed it there is still the problem of the dream pavilion leaking the information out themselves later on. (Assuming they become enemies and he eventually crushes them) Which still ends with others hunting him. Overall smart and safe play.
