Selection seems like a bad name for the skill at this moment. It sounds more like absorption. But then again it also includes returning items he discarded. So it's one of those weird naming things that doesn't quite fit right.
And they had previously established he can only discard stuff in the palm of his hand. If he can discard full corpses and retrieve them later, if that's what was implied by looking at the pile of goblin corpses. Then why wasn't he able to use Discard previously for more than just palm sized items?
I even went back to chapter 1 to check. They very specifically state palm sized items. Also, Ability Boost is not the name of the skill. It's not even the name of anything in the windows shown.
The only thing I could think of is that in the description of the second one, it says corpses in plural, so is he planning on mass absorbing multiple corpses in one go to avoid having to repeatedly go through the pain of absorbing one corpse? Will that fix the issue of the pain or just cause it to become incredible mind numbing pain?
Nothing prefacing this is explaining how he's going to solve his predicament. And if it's just absorb more corpses, then it really doesn't make any sense because nothing indicates his discard power got powered up.
I'm also still stuck wondering how he spent 6 years training with a near S rank party, but somehow is still just fighting the lowly goblin. And mind you, I understand, never underestimate a goblin, Goblin Slayer and all. But we're still going by standard fantasy rules here. This is the lowest tier. And alongside the lowest tier there are packs of wolves that are apparently so much higher in tier.
I have so many questions. I don't know if any of them will be answered to a satisfactory level. Hell, I also have questions regarding the wolves and the power scaling, if this is considered in line, is the cave linear which puts even more questions in everything, how common are wolf attacks since he's aware of how annoying it is to fight just one. Is this based on the general standard or based on his time with a near S-rank party?
