@zoonecrophile When Colette was a girl, she was a ninja working along side the Hero who defeated the demon king. The Hero went back to his home town, be very very rich thanks to the demon king's treasure, and adopted "Master" girl who was demon king's daughter because the demon king asked the Hero to give his daughter a normal life. Even though the rich hero and his wife died Colette still stick with the "Master" girl to protect her and keep her identity a secret.

I'm confident I have read all of Itou Hachi's Master & Mel works in the proper order. Holy shit. My heart. I'm balling my eyes out, and I'm sad it's over. So fluffy, so angsty, so fucking perfect...
