This moves at a meandering pace, placid even, for the first five chapters—I have no problem with that, slow romances are my thing.

But then it awkwardly rockets off at the start of the sixth as if it had just realized it actually needed something to show for its efforts and now it was closing time and, uh, QUICK MOVE FASTER! ...though, once it gets that off it's chest, it settles back down to it's normal pace and ends more appropriately low-key. Basically, it's kind of nice, just the pacing feels all off and, as a result, the more overt bits of romance stuff feel somewhat unconvincing.
