, I'm not here to toot my own horn, but you’re asking this on the same day the winners of the 18th International Manga Award were announced—and this series won the bronze award out of 716 entries. So, there’s probably something worth checking out. If you enjoy emotional, introspective coming-of-age stories about friendship and healing from trauma, I’d say give it a try!(ill hate this tomorrow but today I have a boost of confidence ig)
Yap session but I love Grey is...! I've been reading it for a couple of years and it has some of the most intricate characters I've had the pleasure of reading, the protagonists Black and White feel like real people and I've related to both of them at some point. The others aren't any less complicated, you simply won't find any stereotypes or two dimensional characters here. The only criticism I have is that in the first couple of volumes the pacing and flow is hard to follow at times, that got better as the story went on so if you like seeing an artist evolve then this is another plus. Lastly, deejusan is stupidly creative with her paneling, seriously the last few volumes have been such a treat to read!!
