Page 2: Marika-chan no Koukando wa Bukkowarete iru moment

I thought they said the mother was the principle? I must have gotten confused somewhere, whelp time to reread and see where I messed up.

No. Her aunt is the principal. Or at least, right now. Her mother is dead. I kiiinda suspect the aunt honestly. We know he didn't do anything after all.

Thanks for the translation

Damn, any details on what happened?
So... in the course of the survival game Yamada will get beaten up and forced out of the body, then Ririka will take it back yes?
Probably, that would be the Chekov's gun, however with them being able to potentially keep them onside through corruption and therefore reuse ghosts it is kind of unnecessary so they might keep that for a different story arc
He's gonna have to be really crafty in order to beat the other team. Especially considering his team's lack of offensive skills.

Thanks for the upload.
Potentially, we don't know what the abilities of most of the ghosts are so it could actually be a wipe depending on what happens

Also I think Ririka's ability can be a way to the entrapment of the whole enemy team to obtain something, I don't think we know all the possible rules but the betting power could be used creatively, even better if Ririka is there to give some tips (though she haven't been the brightest so far :V )

Really curious to see how author will be creative with the fight :thonk:

Hiroto's team looks soo weak and we don't even know Mayu's full team yet.

Ririka/Yamada is a not a fighter with no combat ability. Asumi is most likely not a fighter, but her telepathy can be useful to coordinate information. Hiroto is a weak fighter but with a wildcard ability.

So, it's up to Nirasawa and Okitsu to do the heavy fighting. The main advantage of Hiroto's team is that they do have number advantage with Hiroto's ghost friends and Ririka watching the battlefield. I assume Okitsu will use her storage ability to hide the flag so Mayu can't cheese a win with her teleporting ability. If that's their strategy, then Okitsu will also need protection to prevent Mayu's team from overwhelming her. Depending on where the team survival battle will take place, Hiroto's team can also try to hide Okistu while the rest of them go take the enemy flag.

I was hoping Prince's team will take a role in this fight, but we'll see how this match unfolds...

The most noticeable part of this chapter is that it revealed that Hiroto's father disappeared before Hiroto's stepmother died, presumably ran off with a younger woman. Which makes sense, because you don't see him in the flashback of the family mourning the stepmother's death. I assume the step-aunt is responsible for both Hiroto's father disappearance and the death of Hiroto's stepmother. Maybe the father encountered the step-aunt being corrupted so she silenced him but didn't kill him for reasons unknown for now. Step-mom was probably homing in the step-aunt's true intentions because Hiroto's father running away sound like complete B.S to her, so step-aunt orchestrated the step-mom's death, as both a cover-up and advancing whatever corrupted plans that she has in mind. Step-aunt probably manipulated the stepsister into doing the killing and made the stepsister believe it was Hiroto's fault, so the step-aunt doesn't take the blame for it.

With that said, I still think the stepsister probably saw a future where Hiroto becomes completely evil after a certain period and turns society upside down, which is why the stepsister gave Hiroto a one-year warning over his impending death. Maybe that's the ability of the first S-tier user, if they encountered the stepsister/aunt in the past. I mean, there's got to be a reason why the stepsister is waiting until Hiroto's graduation to kill him unless it's legally O.K to kill men after graduation.

Other than that, thanks for the update, Heat!

I feel like Hiroto's team will attempt to cheat/sabotage before the match starts in order to stand a chance. It's going to be a hard fight for Hiroto's team to win, let alone, survive without any serious injuries, since Mayu implied that 'accidents' might happen during the survival battle.

I believe in chapter 2 its implied that they have to wait a year because they can't afford to have students dying on campus. The Step Aunt even mentions the government keeping a closer eye on the school because of Hiroto's dad's disappearance. If Hiroto died while still at school the gov would suspect his sister and get involved directly.

As a petanko enjoyer I hope the telepathy girl joins the harem (or at least ends up fucking with MC). As long as the first girl who seems to actually like MC now is cute with her body type and all, with harem worth of girls in rotation, she ends up getting her sexy screen time to rarely - thus a new petanko girl added to the roster would be cool :smug:

When we got that flashback dream, I thought his sister was crying about the dad, and the woman was the mom.
I thought she was a father con lol.

Now it makes more sense why she was so angry if it was the mom.

Aunt is definitely scheming behind the scenes. She reminded Rei(stepsister) to stick with the timeline of killing Hiroto after graduation( aunt obviously having no problem letting Hiroto get killed by her in the first place). Aunt also told Mayu to keep Hiroto away from Okitsu at all costs because of how much of a threat Okitsu is to the stepsister.

So I won't be surprised if the aunt is planning to weaponize the stepsister to do her bidding, probably killing off important targets in the future so the aunt can consolidate power.

She did say that and that is a reason why Hiroto isn't dead right now. Yet I don't think the government is going to decrease surveillance on the stepsister and Step-aunt just because the stepsister and Hiroto are no longer students, especially if Hiroto's Dad is probably an important person to the government.

If Asumi does join the harem, a threesome with Ririka would be in order, hehe.
