Hiroto's team looks soo weak and we don't even know Mayu's full team yet.

Ririka/Yamada is a not a fighter with no combat ability. Asumi is most likely not a fighter, but her telepathy can be useful to coordinate information. Hiroto is a weak fighter but with a wildcard ability.

So, it's up to Nirasawa and Okitsu to do the heavy fighting. The main advantage of Hiroto's team is that they do have number advantage with Hiroto's ghost friends and Ririka watching the battlefield. I assume Okitsu will use her storage ability to hide the flag so Mayu can't cheese a win with her teleporting ability. If that's their strategy, then Okitsu will also need protection to prevent Mayu's team from overwhelming her. Depending on where the team survival battle will take place, Hiroto's team can also try to hide Okistu while the rest of them go take the enemy flag.

I was hoping Prince's team will take a role in this fight, but we'll see how this match unfolds...

The most noticeable part of this chapter is that it revealed that Hiroto's father disappeared before Hiroto's stepmother died, presumably ran off with a younger woman. Which makes sense, because you don't see him in the flashback of the family mourning the stepmother's death. I assume the step-aunt is responsible for both Hiroto's father disappearance and the death of Hiroto's stepmother. Maybe the father encountered the step-aunt being corrupted so she silenced him but didn't kill him for reasons unknown for now. Step-mom was probably homing in the step-aunt's true intentions because Hiroto's father running away sound like complete B.S to her, so step-aunt orchestrated the step-mom's death, as both a cover-up and advancing whatever corrupted plans that she has in mind. Step-aunt probably manipulated the stepsister into doing the killing and made the stepsister believe it was Hiroto's fault, so the step-aunt doesn't take the blame for it.

With that said, I still think the stepsister probably saw a future where Hiroto becomes completely evil after a certain period and turns society upside down, which is why the stepsister gave Hiroto a one-year warning over his impending death. Maybe that's the ability of the first S-tier user, if they encountered the stepsister/aunt in the past. I mean, there's got to be a reason why the stepsister is waiting until Hiroto's graduation to kill him unless it's legally O.K to kill men after graduation.

Other than that, thanks for the update, Heat!
In chapter 2 on page 45 the stepsister tells her aunt/sister that Hiritos fathers disappearance could not be tied to her killing him. I still think the aunt/sister was still responsible due to the one year countdown (insurance claim?) but it also leaves the mystery of what went down between the stepsister and Hiritos father for her to hate him. Sound strategy by the way, only that Ririka does have a powerful support ability in making the team “giving their all“ or mimic the Prince ability in combat awareness.

And thanks for the update, Heat!
