Well, she wasn't pretending, she was gonna kill them and kidnap the MC, she's just confused now because they're not the complete monsters she thought they were

From the way she worded it and how she pulled her punch on that last strike, it seems like she was gonna kidnap him if he was alone but if not then she would listen to him and judge accordingly, like she did. It wasn't full on evil like that water exorcist.
