I'm assuming the S-type is also a Yamaha or some other Strat copy - I'm not much of a Fender guy, but I'm not aware of any Strat models with what seems to be a zero fret and string retainer bar like that. Though I'm also not sure why somebody copying the Strat body shape would also keep the god awful blocky heel joint lol.

Possibly a Pacifica, and Yamahas really punch above their weight class, but to be fair the Japanese do love their Fenders, and MIJ Fenders are insanely good value. Headstock shape is similar but the break into the rounded tip of the headstock leads me to think it's most likely a Fender. Regardless, I'm just happy to see accurate looking guitars and leads me to assume the author plays.

As fun as it can be to do the whole "unassuming guy is actually really impressive at an unexpected activity", I like how the author set this up a bunch of chapters prior by showing us idling with his guitar. The reveal that he's actually this good has way better payoff for it.

And yes, the poor dumbass has no idea the jealous monster he's going to unleash. Haimiya already likes him, far as I can tell. This is just going to kickstart her proactivity. Which is probably what Itsuki was really aiming for.

Speaking of, that girl is gonna wanna get some life insurance once Haimiya finds out she was the one to put the idea in our MC's head.

From a guitarist perspective, the guy was noodling randomly/improvising a song that purely uses diminished chords in the earlier chapter. I don't think a beginner guitarist or musician would use diminished chords that much since they're "intimidating", and honestly some guitarists can get through their entire life without learning how to finger a diminished chord (it comes up more naturally in the piano when playing in a key)

Point is it's not exactly far-fetched to assume that he (and his sister) are actually good at guitar, plus from a storytelling perspective, it's pretty much been foreshadowed when Haimiya said she wanted to see him play guitar

There is a guitar in his room visible in chapter 9, which is the first page showing his room. The dining room in his house was shown in a couple of earlier chapters.

Just don't look at the trem in the panel with the guitars on the rack (p10), or the MC's completely fucked pick grip in some panels lol. Fingering's a bit off in some places too, like playing a chord with two fingers on the same fret and the same string. I'd still assume the author probably plays to some extent though, and that those issues are just sloppy art, since MC also has a fingernail taking up half his finger in one panel.
