I've felt several times with this manga that the chapters end too soon without anything interesting happening. Like, this is chapter has great setup for some kind of bonding or character development with the gift, but then it just ends with the joke that she can tell when he's lying, which isn't very funny in itself. It doesn't do any harm, but it shouldn't be like the climax of the chapter. Maybe this plot will continue in the next chapter, but it just feels a little disappointing that nothing happened.
