George be stressing me out. The other thing Mashiba needs to worry about is Rosario’s stamina. Either he’s not going to gas out like originally predicted or he’s about to try and capitalize in a big way besides this counter he’s aiming for as he gets closer to exhaustion

This fight's gone on for so long I can't remember: have we seen whatever trick Ippo figured out during sparring? If not, I've got a feeling that we can still get the "I've already seen that punch but better" moment. (Though Ippo isn't a counter-puncher, so, hmmmm)

something so satisfying about chapters with minimum talking, but still deadly back and forth

rosario looking noticeably exhausted on that last page, hoping mashiba baiting him this whole time, even if hes been taking shots too

Rosario isn't in his best condition, Mashiba has only been going for the body, and Rosario has been working extra hard to push in and get in range for a counter. All of Rosario's shots to Mashiba are to the head but none seem to be very effective, so honestly Mashiba might be leading him on. When the counter fails, my expectation is that Rosario's done. Unless his legendary luck kicks in.

Mashiba was aiming for his body in this chapter, even landed one, maybe thats the way he's going to do it.
Translators - thanks for chapter as always.

Few action sequences in manga can keep me as gripped, focused & breathless as Ippo does, maybe Morikawa does short chapters here & there, but when the action gets good it's sublime.

I like how George gives Rosario moments to show his skills. For all the dark arts, I think George strongly believes that being a world champion means having real skills hence (in hindsight) all world title fights in this series (except some of Takamura’s) involve at least some very technical exchanges like this one.

So IMO (and quite obvious to many other readers by now perhaps), the moment Ippo makes his comeback is when he can truly pull this off, while right now he is still building this up.

Takamura and Miyata are talking about how dangerous it is for Rosario to get into his range, which to be fair is completely true, but I'm curious if we're gonna see the results of his spar with Ippo. I don't remember if we've seen what Mashiba's plan for that is.

As much as I criticize George, the man sure can draw movement
This chapter is a masterclass, action in mangas and comics in general is hard to follow, this is just perfect:
a little bit of attention and you can see everything that is going on, no need for side characters to explain, no need for inner monologues, just the action.

I loved that first sequence there was so much nuance and little details that you can pick up like how rosario parries with his right then goes on the offensive weaving jabs followed by a left uppercut or how mashiba slips left from rosarios right straight then plants his lead foot in then goes straight for the chopping right i could go on and gush out more its just pure action.
