Just a take, but I believe it's a bit more than that. With Rosario believing that there's nowhere else but the ring he can experience "fairness", at the start he also thought that getting a upper hand on him even fairly wasn't right so he turned to scumbag tactics. Moreover, Rosario appears to be accepting that he'll lose since he's saying he'll return to Japan, which I assume to mean that he intends to come to take back the belt he'll have lost, while Mashiba is still determined to take the belt - they have different mentality going into this round.
He did hit top of his head, and you see that his vision is watery, I hope Morikawa won't rob Mashiba of win.Wasn't there a whole thing about Rosario being super lucky? The frame where Mashiba slipped looked really dangerous, like he had gotten hit at the top of his head and compressed his neck due to falling on it, but he got up and there didn't seem to be any damage from it. There can't be all that much left in the fight considering their condition though so I can't imagine many more events like these.
