Sendo is up against it now. Seriously though he can box why does he like to brawl so much.

What the heck is Martinez talking about? There's no such thing as overkill. It's all about sending a message! Winning in impressive fashion is what greats do. I miss when real boxing had characters like Sendo. Feels like the last ones were Roy Jones and Pacman. Sport's been dying cause it's full of point-hunters eking out wins with "fraction-power punches".

Except, we all know Ippo hits harder, if only just.

Now, if only he got his ass back in the ring. I can understand building up, but this is taking a long time XD

My prediction: either Sendo loses, or he wins but ruins himself. I remember one scene like 20 or so volumes ago where he told ippo he had to go to the doctor because of problems with his fist.
I think that Sendo's demise, one way or the other, will be the impulse to get Ippo in the ring again.

Cruel I know, I just think it has to be something like THAT, or else Ippo won't return. Alternatively, Kamogawa can die, or Takamura can be forced to retire. It has to be something really traumatic I think.

hopefully after this match ippo gets back to boxing as i feel it would be the perfect timing for it to happen after this match

with that said as much a as i want sendo to beat this guy i feel its possible he might get beat really bad but either win or lose Ippo is coming back after this match

at least here's hoping

@Nehona Ippo's punch is strong because of how he uses it, Ippo places his entire body into his punches so he increases the force of his punch through the rotation of his entire body. So he steps forward, maximizing that power, he uses his shoulders, maximizing that power, he then rotates using the sway of his form to dig inwardly. Ippo's strength comes from how he punches, and both Sendo and his punches are different.

Sendo instead, focuses on his back and shoulder muscles. He can increase the power of his punch by punching with all the force that comes from the outward swing (his Smash) which is why it's a Middle-Ranged Punch rather than a close one. His punch is stronger than Ippo's because it's done with the simplest of motions, you swing with heavy hands and strike with as explosive a swing as you can. Ippo relied on the Dempsey Roll because the amount of punches he could throw, it's made to be both offensive and defensive, Sendo focuses on only the offense and placing as much power into his punch as he possibly can.

It's why Martinez stated the 1 to 10 ratio in terms of power. Most people do not have Sendo's force and Nargo has sparred against one of the best, as Martinez said, if Sendo has the strongest punch, then he has the strongest punch for a Featherweight.

@darekpawlo what I meant was why doesn't Sendo use his own fundamentals of Boxing. He has a good strong jab, good speed and is dangerous at mid to close range because of his Smash punch and his body shots. He started off swinging for the fences, of course that is not going to hit Alf.

I agree, having more people like sendo would be a great thing for Boxing IRL
Point Hunters really do ruin the fun sometimes
