I swear these random world champions/challengers are some of the laziest designs ever.

You can really tell who's going to be a legitimate challenge or a jobber by how lazy their name and design is. Remember that string of super legit world title challengers named after Disney characters that jobbed to Takamura when he was a skeleton? Really painted the world stage as a place for real monsters, when one-off goof characters were easily dispatched by someone who's a skeleton just as a joke.
Either Morikawa just stopped giving a fuck there or he thought that was genuinely funny, I don't know, but that whole message of "you gotta commit it all and leave your humanity behind to enter the world stage" kind of died there.
