Looks like hes going to throw some dust/dirt on him so he doesn't see, and just grab 10 leaves from his pocket or something.
With that face there's no way he's going to be able to impress ippo. Im guessing there's going to be like 5-6 more chapters of him trying to redeem himself in front of ippo.

Buncha pessimists in here. All this stuff amounting to nothing would suck balls, I'd much rather see him actually persevere, succeed and reform from his previously shitty ways. The bullied tutoring the bully is a nice dynamic. It serves as a nice foil to Umezawa and the other kid too, which is the reformed bully tutoring the bullied.
