I feel like asking a girl you like if she has a crush, when you are a shy person is kinda not a good thing to do.
There is small chance, probably extremely so, they will tell you they have and that its you.
A big chance they will tell you that they do, but without telling you who it is or that its you, and you will like a shy person deduce its not you cause you aren't worthy enough.
And a small chance that they will tell you that they don't. In which case a shy person would either probably deduce that they aren't good enough hence their crush doesn't crush on them, or deduce that since the crush doesn't have a crush of their own, there is still a chance to become said crush.
There is also a small chance they will respond like in the manga, but then shy person reacting to it like MC did is also kinda "small chance"?
Aka for a shy person there is really not that much of a "happy" answer for such a question.
