Guess there is another "completely normal" individual to be met in the near future.
Wonder if Miya will become a sentient dead, she did just die on her own, though who knows, she might've expired out of simple malnutrition and it's a case of "we are all infected". Well the flashbacks do show people dying of "an infection" so guess the zombie virus can kill you on its own. Hmm, maybe that is the key factor, those who "die" of the virus regain their sentience, but anyone who gets infected by the sentients becomes a regular zombo?

Risa wants to know why she lied to her even though she's all she has left. It's because risa is the only thing eko has ever had at all and she's afraid to lose her. Risa doesn't fully understand that as someone who has never had to live as a friendless bullying (abuse) victim.

Well, now we only have more questions. It’s likely someone experimented on her and she did end up infecting someone…so it’s probably not a natural occurrence.

Also means that Miya is probably a goner unless the person at the end of the chapter intervenes.

I REALLY liked that Eko was the one to ask if they could revive Miya. I'm really hoping it works out, but realistically, probably not. Still, it says a lot about her, and I had been saying that I felt like her hesitation and hidden desire to befriend Miya wasn't fully explored because Miya died on the spot.
