I'm convinced that the author has no intention of actually continuing any kind of story at this point. These little extra chapters are cute and all, but unless they are relevant to the actual plot of this manga, they should not be here. I think it would be better to have these extra chapters be their own separate entry away from the main work. Make a new manga entry labelled "shorts" or "extras" or something and post these chapters there.

According to his posts on blue sky the author has been back in and out of the hospital a lot over the past few months, which is why they haven't posted much outside of these shorts and a few illustrations. The last time it happened he stopped posting any updates at all for a year or two so I wouldn't expect a new chapter anytime soon.
