I’d read the raws years ago so I knew the reveal was coming, but I’d always found the decision to keep Kaori’s face obscured right until she leaves was a fascinating decision and I’d love to know what the intent was.

Probably something along the lines of preventing the reader forming a connection to her but I’d love to hear from the writer themselves.

No, at this point of the story there's no signs Kaori is or has cheated. The friend guy has joked around that she probably cheating overseas many chapters ago but that's probably projection if anything lol.
