Did I ever mention my name?

While it would be concerning for someone to know your name without you telling them... I find it more concerning that someone in government role (in a non-secretive context) might interrogate you / give you a check up without at least saying their name or having a name tag or whatever.

"Hi, I'm <name and title> from <department name>, can you tell me more about <xyz>?"
