I mean, even if you didn't expect her to return. You'd think the husband might go looking after his wife huh 
But this is honestly more like 3 love rivals except they're family.
Why? Because while talking about equal treatment Ryuu's actions tell another story.
If they knew there was no point in trying to steal his attention from each other, they'd at least have less incentive to do so.
On the other hand, showing that it actually works just encourages them...
