Well, I intended on going to sleep and got hit with massive feelings again. I noticed by now that mangas dealing with the loss of close people hurt me deeper than what I would normally expect, so there's that.

Now I'm kind of depressed, but thanks for the update, I've been waiting for more of this <3

Stories of this sort are amongst the good reasons to read manga.

In time, after the loss of a loved one, almost everyone reaches a point in which the memories of happiness come more readily than feelings of loss. And it's then that one wants mementos and tangible artifacts of the life of whomever was lost.

I think the author will try and go the way of teaching that, even if at the start it's painful to have those things remind you of the passed ones, there will come a time where you regret getting rid of those things that held so many memories with those you loved. But there's also the contrary, where things that bring you good memories at the start can keep you in a grieving state ion the long road.

It truly is a balancing act and not an easy one at that either.

ugh, this last chapter hit me especially hard since I've had a really close friend die recently and this just reminded me of her 😭

ah man, i teared up, the intensity really built up when Midori kept reminding Haru that she doesn't have to throw everything away
i don't want to throw them away, i want to keep them, cherish them
i don't want to forget her
those last panels hit hard
